The Italian AIM factory built off-road motorcycles from 1974 to 1978 (or perhaps 1982) using proprietary two-stroke engines including Sachs.
The AIM was an Italian motorcycle company, founded in 1972 in 1987.
As a result of organizational and technical differences with his brother Jose, Andrea Becocci decided to give the Motorcycles Bimm and to found his own firm for the production of motorcycles and motorcycle: The AIM (short for Assemblaggio italiano motocicli).
The business, started in Prato, was soon transferred to the new plant Vernio. In the first year they were produced only mopeds with engines utilitarian single-branding but in 1973 was introduced the model to cross 50 R 5 ", with Propellent Morini Turbostar a five-speed transmission, head to alettatura radial.
The model was a success in sales and a few copies, properly prepared, were used in regional competitions by private pilots, including the future champion Luchi Marco.
The return of image due to competition, persuaded Becocci started to produce specialized models for high performance, in opposition to emblazoned countrymen Ancillotti and Gori, on cross fields and regularity, Italian and esters.
Started the production in small series, particularly competition bikes and have taken care of the best components in the market and propulsors Sachs that, in displacements 50, 80, 100, 125 and 250 cc, get numerous statements at regional and national races in the second half of '70s and early '80s.
Despite the sporting successes, the high cost of competing models and their total estrangement, also aesthetics, the normal patterns of production, did not allow the Aim to achieve substantial sales results, in both types of production.
The business came to an end in the 1987.
