Italiana Gassogeni (Società Anonima Italiana Gassogeni), was founded and based in Torino in 1939 and launched a few designs this nice cabriolet on a Fiat 1100A chassis and released to the public at the Turin Salon in 1940. Due to the outbreak of war and the need to save fuel, many vehicles installed a "Gassogeno" device capable of producing gas from a solid mass for propellant. Given the limited space available on the Fiat 500A, they applied it to the outside of the trunk and was attached to the tail of the car.
