Nazzaro was founded in the beginning of July 1911 Felice Nazzaro, asserted champion of flying, decided to undertake the activity of constructor with help from his brother-in-law Pilade Masoero and engineer Arnaldo Zoller, in order to have a run at the Fiat colors, founded Turin Nazzaro & C. Factory Automobiles. The first car constructed by the young company in 1922 was the Tipo 2, with a 4 cylinder mono-block with a 4398 cm³, 20/30 HP engine and a maximum speed of 100 km/h. With this car Felice Nazzaro prevailed at the Targa Florio in 1913. In the same year they introduced the Tipo 3 with greater power (35 HP), which Nazzaro succeeded to race in the Florio Goblet. In 1914 the car debut at the Great Prix (Club of France), but with insufficient results.
In 1915 at the beginning of the hostilities (WWI) Nazzaro, like nearly all the other Italian 'mechanical' factories, dedicated to the construction of war materials. In particular, trucks which were equipped with 10 cylinder Anzani engines. Unfortunately government clerks could not prevent putting the company into liquidation in 1916, although meantime they had added a Tipo 4. An attempt was made to try for a comeback with the Nazzaro brand made Tipo 5 (a Sport version) in 1919. This model was sold until 1923, the year Nazzaro closed.
