1930 - 1958
Franchi was founded in Milan in 1930 for the trade in spare parts and accessories for bicycles and motorcycles. In 1950, production of mopeds with Sachs engines with 98 cc and 150 cc was started. In 1954, Franchi created a moped with a Sachs engine of 50 cc. In 1955, they had a 125 cc bike and different models of vans. At the end of that year, they left with the introduction of a 175 cc bike, called the Gran Sport.
Franchi S.p.A. is an Italian firearm manufacturer, they make various shotguns.
Notable Franchi products include the military SPAS 12 and SPAS 15 and the sporting-type long-recoil action AL-48. Franchi also makes over and under shotguns.
Franchi is owned by Beretta Holdings.
